Thanksgiving "first grade style"
Last week Parker's first grade class had a full course thanksgiving feast! All month they have learned about pilgrims, Indians, the mayflower, and everything else thanksgiving. They have made crafts galore to learn about it as well. I was lucky to be a part of the feast--helping to set up, serve, and to see my cute 'lil pilgrim boy :)

Best LEGO house EVER!!!
Aaron and Parker started this house last week when he was home sick with high fevers.
Today, they finished it!
It's a very intricate house, complete with beams and many structural supports.
Parker is going to turn this photo of his LEGO house into the LegoClub magazine that he subscribes to.

My! Has he grown!!!
I saw this idea YEEEEEEEEEAAAARS ago in a magazine and have had it imprinted in my brain since then. Take a picture on the first day of school---save the clothes---and dress them in those clothes on the last day of school. I have been waiting ALLLLL year for this last day picture...im kind of obsessive-weird that way when I am excited about something like this....Not only has the face of the child changed, but the clothes (how they now fit) have changed too! You are able to really see the growth that way!
With Parker, he is 7 less teeth smiley ;)
And he has grown a good 2"! His cute kiddy face has now become more big kid-like and thinner. What a transformation!
For me, it's a "happy-sad" moment. I'm so excited for him growing up and learning, but also a little sad that he's no longer that little boy who so needs every bit of me.
Aw, Park, I love ya so much.

What!? Another one!?
As we were driving downtown to the Lilac Parade this past weekend we hear in the backseat, "OHMYGOSH! I just pulled my tooth out!!!"
I think Parker was as shocked as we were...!
He kept saying, "OHMYGOSH I can't stop THINKING about what just happened!" and "We were, like, just driving in 'the middle of nowhere' and I just, like, pulled my 7th tooth out!!"
He had the funniest sayings about this!!
He sure is getting brave about pulling his own teeth out...we only pulled the first 2 and he's done the rest. He seriously looks like he can't eat or talk...both which are presenting their own challenges ;)
Here he is! Mr. Toothless, himself!!

T-Ball opening day ceremonies
Last Saturday we had the boys' opening day of t-ball ceremonies. This was a pretty big deal...bigger than I had thought. ALL of north Spokane tball, coach pitch, and older teams were there. Even Otto from the Spokane Indians was there :)
The announcer called each team and they all ran out behind their coach onto the field to be introduced. They sang the National Anthem and had some short speeches by the league organizers.
After the introductions were over we headed over to get our team and individual pictures. I snuck in and took one behind the photographer ;)
When pictures were over we drive up to Colbert to play our 2-inning game.
It was such a fun day that I have been anticipating since the kids were babies...SPORTS are here!! YAY!!

{kindergarten} Mother's Day Tea
I was invited by Parker to the Mother's Day Tea at his school with the kindergarten classes. They worked so very hard the past month to prepare songs, poems, crafts, and desserts to make us Mom's feel loved. He had such fun with his close friends Mason and Connor. I am grateful that he can be "him" around his classmates.
He is the sweetest boy and said the nicest things about me in his stories.
I feel so loved and blessed to be his { and Colton's} mom on this special day.
