Cousins, pumpkins, and a birthday celebration!

The "Montana" cousins came for the weekend!
We all (like the whole 4 big families) made the trek up to greenbluff to all pick out pumpkins to carve at gramma goats house the following day for dads birthday!
At greenbluff we hung out and rode the wiggle worm, lasso'd a bull (not really) and went to the pumpkin patch.
Sunday after church we went to gramma goats house to celebrate Aaron's 33rd birthday (ya, pumpkin carving more for the kids than him, of course). Aaron brought a few of our guns and clay pigeons. The kids were BEYOND excited to shoot their first guns. Wow! Parker loooooooooved it. Like more than ANYTHING! Colton tried so hard NOT to smile when he was done, but you could tell he was bursting with joy, excitement, and accomplishment inside :)
Even I shot a few rounds ;)
To end the day we sang happy birthday and enjoyed a fresh, homemade carrot cake (carrots that the kids planted in our garden).
I'd say it was a pretty darn fun weekend, wouldn't you!?!

{ day five } summer fun

In the past few days we've been busy!
We rented some science kits from the library--we got the "construction" kit and the "sorting" kit. Such an awesome idea! Check out the link to it here:

On Sunday we went to a birthday party for one of Parker's classmates, Mason . It was mustache themed, as you will see.

This morning we left early to go to the skateboard park to ride bikes. When we go at 8am, we always are the only ones there and the boys have free reign of the entire course, pretty awesome!

Colton has been working for [DAYS] on this hole in the front yard--he says he is digging to china ;)
He can get all the way into it and it is about 6" above his head!! He is digging as I speak---there is no end in sight....

Happy day 5 of summer!

Happy 32nd birthday Mom!!

May 16, 2012. Krista, I, mom turned the big 3-2. Honestly, I still feel like I'm 22..and really thankful for that! Funny, the pants I am wearing today, I was actually wearing when I was 22 (I have proof of a photo at my sister in laws bridal shower) :)
We aren't big birthday celebrators...we went to Costco to do some shopping, and out to dinner to our favorite Mexican restaurant and finished of the evening with our favorite treat---blizzards from dairy queen!
My birthday present was my yearly trip down to Utah to see my sister (will be going in August) and Aaron and the boys got me a new propane patio heater. I'm seriously loving it---it lets off so much heat and it's great at night for atmosphere! I used it when I had a party the other night outside and was so thankful I had it!
So---to end---32 is great. Age is merely a number---and I love love love my family and am happy that they get to celebrate with me each year---THAT in itself is truly a gift.

Happy 5th birthday, Colton!!!

Colton had a super fun 5th birthday with mom, dad, and Parker. (We are doing his family party on Sunday).
His day started off with a trip to Starbucks to enjoy a glazed donut and a gourmet chocolate milk. He sat in a plush velvet chair that was fit for a birthday boy.

When Park got home from school he gave Colton the birthday present he picked out for him. THE IRON MAN MASK that he drools over everytime we go to WalMart :). Also in the birthday bag was a hot wheels motorcycle and a box of cracker jacks. We finished the night off with a hostess cupcake and ice cream. (I'm making him a Pinterest inspired cake for his family party). But hey, the hostess cake was just as good!!
Grandma and Grandpa came over the night before and brought him and Parker a HUGE waffle cone ice cream and gave Colton a wallet with $10 in it!
