Hoopfest < Day 1>

First time ever that Aaron has played with his brothers! So fun to watch them!
They won both games and are done for day one! Easy!!
The cousins are in town for hoopfest (Adam is Aaron's brother, 29).
The kids did push ups with the Marines and we stopped for ice cream on the way home.
Hannah and I managed to get our yearly "hoopfest photo" in :) and we for one with all of the "girls" in the cheering squad.

Slip n slide fun

Geocatching 101

So. Everyone is doing it.
I am always up for jumping on the bandwagon.
Geocatching-basically is a treasure hunt in the woods using an app that has the gps coordinates that tell you where someone has hidden a treasure.
Basically, you pick the one you want to do and start walking towards the "flag" on your phone. It tells you how far away you are as you get closer.
When you find it, you take out the treasure that the last people left and replace it with a treasure that you brought. It can be anything from money, tickets, jewelry, bread clips, etc...
You log your name and re bury it and move onto your next hunt.
Super fun for the kids---they've started a treasure box with the things they've found :)

Rainy Day Randomness

Last week was preeeeetty cold. Like Brr. 49• at the end of June!? I think not.
Parker made a really cool play-doh guy. He's getting pretty creative in building and thinking.

On the same day, the kids were arguing non stop back and forth with each other over the most unimportant things and just plain were not getting along. For a punishment I had the go into their room-shut the door-and for 30 minutes, MADE THEM be together in the same room--alone. Wanna know what? They got along. The whole time. And even came out decorated in stickers!
I also came in to the huge storage bi full of Legos dumped out entirely onto the floor. [they said they were looking for one particular piece] haha!!!!

Mid week colton had an appt for a filling. His first. His reward? Of course a sugary milkshake from McDonald's! ;)

Ahhh---rainy days. Love them. Sorta.

Can we say the "S" word????

Is it safe?  Can we say it?  Really?  The "S" word!?!?

SUMMER!?!?!

Hmmm....not really sure if it's here to stay, but we enjoyed the 2 warm days that we had last week!  Both days spent outside in the warmth of the sun and the sprays of the splash pads.
On the first day we visited Pacific Park Splashpad and the following day Audobon Park.  Each park with it's own unique water features and playgrounds, it made for enjoyable days.

So, whether summer is here or not, at least we got in 2 days of water fun!

Also threw in a picture of my strawberries.  First handful of a batch this season...the darn blackbirds kept eating them as soon as they were ripe!  My father-in-law gave me some netting to throw over the tops of the plants and low and behold----we had strawberries that weren't half eaten when we went to pick them!!

"Mom, will you take my picture"

What a grown up looking boy!!

Parker got some sun at the splashpad....ahhhh....warmth!!

Both of them were SO cold!  They sprawled out and let the sun warm them up!

Ya, OK Mom, I'm freezing.

I love love love Colton's face in this!

Ya, I have that same feeling when I step into a cold shower, Colton...  ;)

I took this picture to show my sister my hair....I needed an intervention so I wouldn't cut it all off :)
